Ed “Too Tall” Jones is best remembered as the Hall of Fame defensive end of the Dallas Cowboys chasing down NFL quarterbacks, but he also had a career in professional boxing. Jones boxed professionally from 1979 to 1980 winning all six of his fights, five by knockout. He was managed by the astute Dave Wolf who guided the careers of Ray Mancini, Donny LaLonde and Lonnie Bradley. Wolf recognized that “Too Tall” was not going to enjoy the same success in boxing he had in football and encouraged him to stop. Offered here is the magnificent fight robe of Ed “Too Tall” Jones.
