||||||||||||
On May 25, 1965 World Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali fought Sonny Liston for the second time. Despite beating Liston a year earlier most observers thought Liston would win the rematch. In one of the most controversial fights in boxing history Liston was stopped in the very first round by what ali called the “anchor punch.” Many thought Liston threw the fight. Offered here is a very rare souvenir pennant from this event. This souvenir pennant is blue felt with gold trim and lettering. It is complete with the tails. Has tack holes. Some fading to the blue color with the gold less so. Extremely rare. 28" in length
