Presented by Willard Mullin to “the Willard Mullin of the West Coast,” Karl Hubenthal. Originally published in the New York World-Telegram on July 8, 1946, this explosive full color illustration of the “The Bum’s Song” is a definitive work in color. Inscribed at the bottom, “Willard Mullin - To Th’ Best Tenant - I Ever Hopet’ Have - Uncle Karl.” Triple-matted and framed, this piece measures 24 ½ x 26 ½” and contains production notes. One of the finest Willard Mullins extant; it is the apex of baseball cartoon collecting -- a color Mullin Bum.
