Miraculous memories reflect off of this 10K Olympic Gold Medal sample ring, as original was presented to goaltender Jim Craig for his stellar performance en route to the U.S. ice hockey team’s winning gold at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games. Five jewels upon a blue plane glitter at its center, surrounded by “U.S.A. Olympic Hockey Gold Medalist” in raised block lettering. On one side, below Olympic logo, is “USA4USSR3” in slightly larger lettering than the “USA4FIN2” below it (a reflection of the importance of the semi-final over the final), while “1980” bolds even bigger below that. The other side is “Craig” and his # “30” raised and bold.
