This is the last homerun ball that the 19th century star hit. At the time, 1899, he was playing for the St. Louis Cardinals. Ball is well used and no labeling is present. One panel has "Jake Stenzel hit his last home run with this ball" written in 8/10 black fountain ink. We are uncertain if this is Stenzel's writing. Comes with a letter from Stenzel's great grandaughter stating that this ball has been in her family since 1899. The only 19th century homerun ball we have handled. Condition: Although use is heavy, stiching is still fully inatct and leather has no cuts.
