Exceptional photograph was used to advertise "Savitt Gems." This was a major department store in Hartford, Connecticut in the early 1940s when this photo was taken and printed. Ruth is posed with the owner of the store during a game he played in Hartford advertising the store on his uniform. This photo hung in the store for years as a promotional device. It then surfaced in Hartford about fifteen years ago. This is the first time since then that it has seen the light of day. Beautifully framed.
