In the center is a patriotic ring of diamonds, rubies & opals. The back is equally stunning. In center is a classic Apeda photo of Dempsey with two sets of the same precious stones. Gentle words in blue enamel, “To A True Friend My Pal Sen. Bill Lyons…From Wm. Harrison (‘Jack’) Dempsey Heavyweight Champion of the World…Christmas 1920.” Elaborate Leonidas 17-jewel works perfectly. With fascinating scrapbook (twenty pieces): Photo of Lyons as Official Timekeeper of Dempsey-Gibbons, photo used for the face of this watch, and more. Best of all is original 5x5” glass plate negative & vintage photo of Lyons being presented this watch. Lyons likely used this stopwatch for important Dempsey fights for which he acted as timekeeper (Dempsey-Gibbons & Dempsey-Willard).
