All are written to his wife on his trip to and from Germany for the 1936 Olympics. All are signed “Jim” and six come with the original envelopes that have “Mrs. James Naismith” written on them by Dr. Naismith. The letters discuss his travel plans, what he thinks of Europe, his travels aboard the Cunard ship “Samaria” and more. Also included in this lot are three letters written in 1939 to Mrs. Tom Dawe by a Naismith relative who was traveling with Dr. Naismith at the time.
