ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
Wonderful household dressing screen was used by ladies of the period to languish sexily behind and dress while men were in the room. This one has luscious Gibson Girl type football prints by F. Earl Christy (one of the top illustrators of the day) that are football content. Christy is best known for the similar set of football & baseball images he did on all types of porcelain. Circa 1907. The images show a lady football fan waving the Ivy League pennants of Columbia, Princeton and Harvard. The glass-enclosed prints are 100% original to the piece and are unusually custom sized at 7x13". The screen itself is mission oak with gorgeous red cloth panels. EX-MT and all original. Stands 67x57".
