The Victor Awards are an acknowledgement of outstanding athletic achievements in Sport. The award, regarded as the sporting equivalent of the Academy Awards, is presented at a lavish affair held in Las Vegas each year. A single award is presented for each sport. This towering figural trophy in gleaming gold plate is mounted on a substantial black marble base. The attached plaque reads, in part, "Thirteenth Annual Victor Awards, Guy Lafleur, Ice Hockey, Voted by the National Academy of Sports Editors and Broadcasters, 1979". In excellent condition.
