Lot 1105: 1946-47 Philadelphia Warriors Game Worn Jersey

ITEM DESCRIPTION

Reserve: $500.00
Winning Bid: $852.43

The team is perhaps best remembered as the one with which Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in a single game, but a decade and a half before that the team made history by winning the franchise's first World Championship. This gorgeous home jersey is from a player on that team, Mr. George Senesky, a young guard pivotal in the Warriors' Championship bid. Impossibly uncomfortable wool jersey has "Phila" across chest and Senesky's number "8" on front and back. Great wear evident, and a smattering of moth holes, but jersey still displays wonderfully.
