What a great collection of early 20th century boxing legends autographs. The first item is a letter on Young Stribling's ornate letterhead which has a variety of photographs and other information about the boy wonder from Macon, GA. The letter is written to a Harold Walsh whose son was interested in a career in boxing. The letter, dated July 19th, 1922, is boldly signed in blue ball point which rates 8/10. Primo Carnera has signed the back of a wedding congratulatory card and the bold stroke of the black felt tip pen easily scores an 8/10 rating. "Two Ton" Tony Galento has inscribed a 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" photograph of himself, "To My Pal Roger, Best Wishes, Tony Galento." The inscription is written in blue ball point ink with solid pen pressure, earning a score of 8/10. The last component to this lot is a 4" x 6" photograph inscribed by Cuban boxer Kid Gavilan in his native Spanish. The inscription on the EX quality photograph reads " A mi Amigo Recuerdo, Kid Gavilan, 8/18/54." The inscription is written in bold blue ball point ink and due to the pen stroke and clarity earns a score of 8.5/10. This is a great lot of scribes from some of the premier boxers of the first half of the 20th century.
