Magnificent oil on canvas board has a tremendous amount of character, as it should. It should because this is one of the most interesting personalities in the history of boxing. Behemoth in dazzling colors is like a page out of Bud Schulberg's The Harder They Fall. Spectacular oil paintings were used for the cover of this, the preeminent Mexican boxing magazine of the last few decades: Ring Mundial. These one-of-a-kind paintings which are mostly oil-on-canvas (they were then mounted on artist's board), each measure about 20x15". They are in EX-MT condition and were obtained from the daughter of Valente Perez, the sportsman-entrepreneur-artist who published the magazine and also did these paintings!
