This hand drawn ink illustration of Willie Ritchie, World Light Weight Boxing Champion, was penned by none other than Robert Ripley of Ripley’s Believe it or Not fame. The 8 ½ x 11” cartoon illustration is dated 1912 and is signed by both Willie Richie and Ripley. Ritchie’s signature is faded, earning it a score of 7 out of 10, but Ripley’s is crystal clear and vibrant. The drawing itself is in VG/EX condition with minimal wrinkles and some age spots, but nothing significant enough to draw attention away from the boldly drawn central image.
