In 1937 the American League all-star team was, not surprisingly, dominated by Yankee players, but there were also a couple of Red Sox players and even a couple of Dodgers. This 8 x 10” facsimile photograph, which was printed at a later date rates EX-MT, not only captures this incredible gathering of 7 legendary players but 6 of those seven have signed the photograph as well. The players included are Lou, Gehrig, Joe Cronin, Bill Dickey, Jo DiMaggio, Charles Gehringer, Jimmie Foxx and Hank Greenberg. Lou Gehrig is the only player who did not sign his image, and the black fountain pen signatures are Mint and rate in the 8.5-9 range. The late 1930’s were undoubtedly one of the greatest eras in MLB with some of the games most incredible players at their peak, and this photograph serves to chronicle several of those future HOFers.
