This beautiful brass 1939 All Star American League Presentational pin is a rare find. The diamond shaped pin has a baseball with New York 1939 engraved on it as a central image and it is surrounded by a blue enamel band. Each corner has a small diamond chip representing the three bases and home-plate; the overall condition is NRMT. This particular pin was fashioned into a pendant to be hung from a chain and given to the game's honorary captain, Lou Gehrig, a few months after his diagnosis. This is a tough pin to find significantly increasing its value.
