With over sixty NHL records to his credit, Wayne Gretzky could not be expected to remember them all. We will review one here. Pay attention, afterwards there will be a quiz. The official NHL record for "longest consecutive assist-scoring streak" still stands… 23 games for Wayne Douglas Gretzky during the 1990-91 season. This is the goal puck from the marker by rookie Rob Blake with an assist to #99, extending the Great One's assist streak to 22 games. He recorded a helper in the next match before coming up dry in the following tilt to end the run at 23 games (48 assists in total). Official Inglasco 960 model LA Kings game puck with noticeable wear. Notations on the back of the puck read "G-4, A-99, 22 Consec. Game Assist". From the collection of Los Angeles Kings employee Harris Peet with his LOA.
