The text of the letter favorably endorses the Louisville Slugger model bat the company has designed specifically for Kelly and in return bears his signature etched into the barrel of the bat. The letter is accompanied by a letter of provenance from John A. Hillerich iv stating that it originated directly from the H&B archives.
