This is a beautiful portrait photograph of famed pugilist jack Dempsey. The 8 x 10” image dates from the 1920’s and has an inscription which reads, “To my friend, Dr. Charles Brown , Best Wishes, Jack Dempsey.” The inscription is written with a steel tip pen in blue ink and is quite clear, especially considering the age, scoring a 9 out 10. The overall condition of the photograph is EX with minor wrinkling, a few thumbtack holes on the edges, and a lovely sepia tone color. There is some black paper and adhesive on the verso, evidence that it was probably once in a scrapbook.
