This is a large page measuring 16" x 20" from a clothing manufacturer's book dating to circa. 1910. The colorized graphics of the early 20th century are still in great condition. The material does display some cracking especially along the edges, which does not detract from the overall appearance of the beautiful images. The front side features (7) star athletes of the day with Jim Thorpe prominently displayed in the middle. The caption reads "The full blooded Indian and champion all-round athlete of the world who is a big drawing card in New York." Thorpe is surrounded by Tris Speaker of the Red Sox, John J. McGraw Manager of the Giants, Wood of Boston, Hal Chase of the Giants, Buck Herzog of the Giants and Tyrus Cobb of the Tigers "The best batter in the American League." On the verso it contained (12) material fabric swatches. The swatches are no longer present on the display.
