In this collection of (18) 4 x 5" negatives there are two which capture a June 1949 San Francisco All-Stars vs. St. Louis soccer championship, six are from a December 1949 AAU celebration dinner at St. Francis and finally 12 are from a 1952 Stanford Track Meet featuring several films of Olympic athlete Bob Mathias, competing for his alma mater, Stanford. Prior to this he had already won one gold medal for the Olympic Decathlon in the 1948 games in London and later this same year he would go on to win the gold medal in the Decathlon at the Olympic games in Helsinki. The condition of the negatives is EX and as part of the S.F.Examiner files includes list which state what and who the images capture.
