This is an extraordinary collection of wire photographs chronicling the life of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth the II. The collection features a large amount (20+) infant and toddler photographs capturing the princess long before she knew what thet title meant. The bulk of the collection dates from the late 1940's through 1950's and capture momentous occasions like her wedding and the birth of her 2 sons. There are about 50+ photographs which date from the 1970's which capture a more mature and dignified Queen. The photographs vary from formal state affairs to more casual family photos. The photos are primarily 5 x 7" (20%) and 8 x 10" (60%) with 20% smaller than 5 x 7". The quality of the photographs range from G (30%) to VG (50%) to EX (20%) due to age discoloration, some wrinkling and creasing, and even some minor tears. There are a fair number with significant editorial markings and many have the original news items attached to the verso. This is an amazing collection for all you anglophiles out there.
