This 1941 University of Minnesota Recognition Banquet program dates from the same year team captain and halfback Bruce Smith won the coveted Heisman Trophy. After serving as a Navy Pilot during WWII, he returned to football and played with the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles rams before succombing to cancer in 1967. The program is in excellent condition with very slight yellowing on the cover. The inside glossy pages are in great shape, devoid of wrinkles or creases and with great tonal quality.
