Vintage Acme wire photo of Lou Gehrig at St. Petersburg, FL as the Yankees and Boston Braves met in the first game of a spring training series that year. The Braves Richbourg is out at first on a double play with the Yankee legend covering the bag. Photo dates to March, 1930 and has the original caption sheet taped to the verso. Image is 8" x 10" and has a corner tear in the upper right corner but is otherwise in fine condition with clear imagery and nice contrast.
