This is a rare December 4, 1909 edition of the French Magazine La Vie Au Grand Air. The cover photograph features a 10 x 10/2” image of boxer Joe Jeannette in baseball catcher’s gear.  The condition of the magazine is EX with very minor wrinkling around the edges but the tonal quality is good and the magazine pages are completely intact, a rarity with magazines of this age.  This image is made even more special by the fact that Joe Jeannette is always thought of as famous pugilist, not a baseball player.
