The famous Paul Newman Hockey comedy is actually a spoof on real life brothers and hockey players Steve and Jeff Carlson who played for the Minnesota Fighting Saints and played the Hanson brothers in the film itself. The 1975-76 yearbook is signed by both Jeff and Steve Carlson in blue sharpie. The yearbook is also signed by Dave Hanson who was one of the future Saints at Johnstown. These guys might not have been the greatest of all hockey players but they will forever be known as the goofy glasses clad brothers who made us all laugh in one of the greatest sports comedies of all-time.
