Famed sports artist C.R. Shaare original vintage painting of Yankees and Reds great Bob Meusel. This piece of original art is signed by the artist and measures 22" x 28" and has six tack holes and some slight edge damage but is otherwise in EX condition. It was possibly used for the cover of a magazine or book. C.R. Shaare was a very prominent magazine cover artist and book illustrator during the 1920s, 1930's and 1940s as well as the in-house artist for The Ring magazine for many years. Painting shows Meusel in full swing wearing his Reds uniform in 1930.
