This is the "I Love Mickey" 45 RPM record, music score sheet and 1 1/2" pin for the song that was recorded in 1956 by Mickey Mantle and Teresa Brewer. Brewer would sing "I Love Mickey", and he would reply "Mickey Who?" (She) "You know the fella with the celebrated swing...." The record is a not for sale sample copy and is in excellent condition with the original sleeve which is also EX with only a few wrinkles and two slight tears along the top edge. The pin and music score are also EX. The Song came into being one day when Teresa Brewer was at a Yankee game watching Mickey in action. While leaving The Stadium Teresa commented to her friend "That Mantle is terrific! Someone should write a song about him". Teresa started singing and her friend chimed in and they had a few bars written. They presented the song to Mickey, and Mantle said "Great", and recorded the song with Teresa. In 1956 the song was also featured in Rock & Roll Songs Magazine and on September 29, 1956 "I Love Mickey" peaked at #87 on the charts.
