Lot 160: Early 1900's Baseball Jersey, Pants and Sweater

A relic from baseball's infancy! This wonderful wool uniform from the early 1900's comes complete with jersey, pants and sweater. The half-button jersey is cream colored with faded, red felt appliqués. A "p" is on the left chest, a red diamond with the letters "PAA" is found on the left sleeve and the sleeves are tipped with a red band. The tag inside the collar is blank from wear and washing. The jersey has some spots, but no holes or tears. The wool cardigan sweater is also cream colored, with a gold band knitted into the left sleeve. There are several holes from wear and age most notably at each elbow. The tag inside the collar reads, "American Sporting Goods St. Louis" with a "36" flag tag sewn beside. The cream colored, button fly pants have faded red piping down each leg and draw string cuffs at the bottom hem. The tag inside the waistband is faded out from washing and wear. There are spots from use & age, but no holes or tears.
