International News wire photo of Babe Ruth saluting WWI hero, General Pershing. Babe Ruth joined the New York National Guard in 1924. In this 8" x 10" photo, the Babe is reporting to Pershing who was, at the time, Chief of Staff for the US Army. Photo is in VG-EX condition with two, very small edge tears. Original caption sheet, taped to verso, is dated August 16, 1948, the day Ruth died
