The build up, war time activities and eventual surrender of the Italian naval fleet is the subject of this (48) piece lot of news service photographs from WWII. The 1940's front caption wire photos are in a larger (8x12") format that shows off the war machines well. Smaller, 9x7" images with caption sheets, from what appeared to be a tour of Italy's war ships, show more of a "close up and personal" perspective of the Italian navy's might. The quality is great here with some VG but more in the EX to MT range.
