Betty Jameson was a professional golfer and one of the founders of the LPGA. This collection of news service wire photos (40) includes lots of golf action shots as well as her posing with some of the trophies she collected during her career. Photos range in size from 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" to 8" x 12" and are in EX-MT condition with many in NRMT. In 1939 and 1940 she won back-to-back United States Women's Amateur Golf Championships. She turned professional in 1945 and was one of the thirteen women who founded the LPGA in 1950.
