In 1963, the classic California surf band the Surfaris broke with two singles from the same 45". "Surfer Joe" on the A side and "Wipe Out" on the B side. The gold version of this 45" is displayed here with the B side, containing what is likely the best known instrumental in the surf genre, facing out. It was presented as a DOT records promotions award for Don Masters in 1966. Measures 11.5 x 12"
