Incredible uniform in Celtics green, game used by Boston's legendary basketball forward, Larry Bird, in the 1980's. This lot includes both Bird's "33" jersey and shorts. The jersey has a "Sand Knit size 46" tag and a "Designed and Tailored Exclusively for the Boston Celtics" tag on the front left tail. The shorts have a "Sand Knit size 36" tag and a "Designed and Tailored Exclusively for the Boston Celtics" tag sewn in the waist and each have "33" written on them in faded black marker. Also stitched in the waistband is "LO 26 and 4" IN". Both pieces show nice game use. The waistband of the shorts is discolored by sweat and the lettering embroidered on the jersey shows fraying and wear around the edges. There is also pilling on the inside seams of both items. Wonderful piece of basketball memorabilia from one of the best clutch players in sports history.
