Attention CSI fans this stunning and provocative collection of oversized wire Crime and Punishment photographs, is far better than TV. These incredible and disturbing photographs capture images that range from the execution of Japanese General Hisao Tani, the madman responsible for the 1937 rape of Nanking, the trial of Adolf Eichmann, photos and text from a Soviet newspaper dealing with the death of Adolf Hitler (text translation included), a startling image of a bloodied Hideki Tojo, the former Japanese Premier just minutes after he tried to commit suicide by shooting himself. Also included are several images taken just after the assassination of Malcolm X, some of the wounded suspect, others of his weeping widow. However two of the collections most powerful images are of 2 different 1930’s American lynchings. Lot also includes images of Martin Luther King Jr. and Mickey Cohen. The 11”x14”photographs are in very good condition with limited wrinkling and creasing, good tonal quality and very few editorial markings.
