This collection has a huge array of sporting photographs (200+). Shots include the 1959 Rome Olympic Stadium models, 1980's surfing shots, 1940's-1950's boxing, ski jumping, speed skating, track and field and many more. Some photos taken by staff photographers at the San Francisco Examiner, making them one of a kind and some include original news clippings attached to the verso. Others in the collection are wire photos with their typed caption sheets affixed to the photos. Editor enhancements are shown on many. Most measure 11" X 14" but some sizes vary. Overall photos are in excellent condition.
