On September 21, 1955 in New York, World Heavyweight Champion Rocky Marciano defended his title for the final time in his career against Archie Moore. Moore, an adept boxer, floored Marciano in the second round, but was in turn knocked down five times before finally succumbing for good in the 9th round. Marciano retired after this fight with a perfect record at 49-0. Presented here is a very rare on site poster to this event. The poster is cardboard and pictures both fighters. It has two creases, some minor soiling and has undergone some restoration. This poster has been professionally framed. It measures 22” x 28.”
