Babe Ruth "The Farewell Speech" was delivered at Yankee Stadium on April 27, 1947. This is a beautifully matted and framed NY Herald Tribune sepia photo of the Babe giving his speech as Cardinal Spellman and Mel Allen look on. Framed to 19" x 19 1/2". It is signed by all three men in black fountain pen and inscribed "To Sergeant Joseph Haeser with Best Wishes Cardinal Spellman." Mel Allen and Babe Ruth have penned their names over their respective photos. There are some minor bends and crazing on the photo's glossy surface, however they do not affect the bold signatures. LOA.
