The Silver Glove is awarded to the top fielding minor league players. It is similar to the Gold Glove awarded to major league players. This particular award was presented to Dave Roberts of the National Association for his defensive work behind the plate during the 1963 season. The ball has some heavy pitting, the bracket that holds the glove into place is loose and there is a repair to the wood on the back of the diamond plaque. A piece that rarely makes its way into the hobby. Very good condition.
