Whether marching for civil rights, against school segregation or fasting as a protest to war, it was always clear where stood. Here is a collection of (30) fine wire photos of Dick Gregory taken between 1963 and 1978. Standouts include: 1964 image of Gregory holding the $250,000 reward check (signed by Hugh Hefner) he offered for information leading to the recovery of three civil rights workers, eventually found murdered in Mississippi; Gregory in 65' directing a civil rights march on the Chicago neighborhood of Mayor Daley in protest of school segregation; skeletal in 1968 after a 40 day hunger strike in opposition to the Vietnam War.
