The Blues’ number one pick in the 1974 Amateur Draft, Bob Hess was put to work on the St. Louis blueline that following season. After earning a full-time spot with the NHL club his first two seasons, Hess split time between the CHL and the NHL’s Blues in 1976-77 and 1977-78. With evidence of a former nameplate, this jersey dates to the latter two seasons mentioned previously. Home, white jersey features Rawlings size 48 tagging inside the collar. Five repairs on the front – two in middle blue stripe, one in top yellow stripe, and two more in white body portion below the crest. Two additional repairs on the back with red and blue paint transfers in various locations on the jersey. Sweat staining, stick marks, and pilling also evident. Small loop style fight strap. The road, blue counterpart in this lot was worn by Gerry Odrowski during the 1971-72 season.
