Lot 325: Ebbetts Field Grand Stand Double Seat
ITEM DESCRIPTION
By early 1960, the Brooklyn Dodgers were long gone to the west coast and their Flatbush baseball diamond, Ebbett's Field, was demolished. This is a two-seat grandstand bench rescued from the demolition of Ebbett's and it is all original. It is painted Dodger blue with the seat numbers (4 & 5) stenciled in white. The bench measures 20" high X 34" deep X 37" wide. Its years are shown by some rust on the metal frame, but it is very solid with all wooden slats still firmly attached. Wonderful relic from the days of the beloved Brooklyn Dodgers.
