7 x 9'' wire photo of Larry James, Lee Evans and Ron Freeman giving the "Black Power" salute while receiving their medals. Known as "one of the most notorious and overtly political statements in the 110 year history of the modern Olympic Games." The copy mentions that this gesture had already caused the Olympic committee to ship a couple of their teammates home. UPI stamping on the verso. NM-MT.
