The New York Yankees were fielding a fierce line-up and at the top of
baseball's American League when this news service photo was taken in
August of 1938. Captured leaning on their bats in the dugout are:
Charley Ruffing, Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Lou Gehrig, Bill Dickey
and Monte Pearson. The 6.5 x 8.5" photo has the original caption
sheet and news clipping affixed to verso. Also, some editor
enhancements visible on this excellent photo.
