Indiana born boxer, Tony Zale, is the subject of this (29) piece lot of front captioned wire photos. As the middleweight champion of the world in the 1940's, there are many outstanding fight-action photos in this lot. Some of the best being of his first middleweight title fight against George Abrams in 1941. Nice shots, too, of his '46 and '48 bouts against legend Rocky Graziano including one that shows Graziano on the mat, about to take the count. A couple of funny weigh- in and pre-fight physical photos are in the mix as well. Latest date in this lot is 1965. Condition ranges from VG to MT, with many on the better end. Sizes range from 6.5 x 8.5" to 8 x 11".
