Lot 320: 1956 Paul Larivee AHL All-Star Game Worn Jersey
ITEM DESCRIPTION
|
||||||||||||
All-Star Game jerseys were recycled from year to year and often times
from league to league. Center Paul Larivee wore this one in the Oct.
23, 1956 game and held on to it after the game for ten years before
sending it to a friend. In the game that season, the great Johnny
Bower tossed a shutout, turning aside 47 shots and winning 4-0. Front
of jersey has "AHL All Stars" surrounding a star in white felt.
Larivee's number "18” is on the verso, also in felt. Cosby 46 flag
tagging in the tail. Jersey is in fabulous condition, with a solitary
repair on the front, and a few droplets of blood on one shoulder.
Also here is an 8 x 11” signed Larivee photo in EX condition. The
only mark on it is a thin line across it. Comes with 1966 LOA from
Tom Woodcock from time frame he sent Larivee this particular jersey.
