May 26, 1961 wire photo taken of Mickey Mantle, Jake Gibbs and
manager Ralph Houk. The three are posed in the Yankees locker room
after announcing Gibbs' addition to the team. The caption leads with
"high-priced diamond talent", reporting the Yankees paid the rookie a
$100,000 signing bonus. Isn't it funny how so much, yet so little has
changed! Mint photo is front captioned and measures 7x10".
