In march of 1962, Cuban welter weight boxer, Benny Parent, sustained a brain injury in the ring that would eventually kill him. This collection of (14) front captioned wire photos have images of fight action from his run as welterweight champ in 1960, to his funeral in 1962 and beyond to 1963, a year after his death, when reporters visited Parent's widow and child after another young boxer was killed in the ring. Sized from 7x9" to 8x10", All are at least VG (mostly due to editing marks) with many NM/MT.
