Lot 480: 1961 Bay of Pigs Invasion Wire photos (75+)

Fascinating collection of (75+) wire photos chronicling the political
turmoil in Cuba beginning with Castro's overthrow of President
Batista's government in 1958 to the Bay of Pigs debacle in 1961and
its aftermath. Notable images include: female members of the Cuban
Militia on guard with machine guns just after the failed invasion;
several wire photos report on the tractors for prisoners exchange;
missiles being set up in South Florida in 1962; Anti-Castro Cuban
guerillas training in the Florida Keys; Cuban refugees arriving in
the states in 1963. A few of these photos with editing marks may be
graded as VG, but the lot is overwhelmingly NM and better. Sizes
range from 6x10" to 8x10".
