Incredible leather bound photo album created by a Detroit Tigers baseball fan in the 1940's. A talented amateur photographer, it seems Miss Akroyd had her camera with her at every game. She managed to snap beautiful quality photos of the era's biggest names in baseball and get them signed. The book itself is NM, with nearly perfect pages bound solidly within the leather cover. (The only pages that show edge wear are the loose extra pages that have not been used.) The photos are all in nm to mint condition and have been carefully affixed to the black pages with mounting corners & the player names neatly printed below. One page has been ripped out and is missing, a small numbers of photos are missing, and there are some in the front that have not been mounted (including Babe Ruth and Phil Rizzuto).
